Yeah, so they're not exactly from England. But dammy, they are good.

Everytime I see Kayless' new sig, I want to run out to the store and buy some. http://216.40.249.192/s/cwm/3dlil/buck.gif

And I decided not to post a poll on whether people preferred pulp inclusive or pulp-free orange juice... And then there was the smooth or chunky peanut butter poll.. but I abandonned that thought as well...

But I digress...lol! I've always really enjoyed English muffins, especially the sourdough kind....

I like them best with butter and a sharp chedder. Or maybe a really good raspberry jam

Hey, we can talk about peanut butter here. I like them both. http://216.40.249.192/s/contrib/ruinkai/bigglasses.gif

Orange juice with pulp is by far superior...and excellent when accompanying English muffins!

Sourdough English muffins rule supreme. I like mine slathered with butter...and grape jelly.

Well, as far as I am concerned, the best way to enjoy an english muffin is toasted with cheddar cheese, topped with Canadian bacon and a fried egg, covered with a wonderful hollandaise sauce

The orange juice must have pulp and a generous amount of tequila.

Muffins with butter and peanut better are excelent too...make mine the crunchy kind

Just butter please.

I can be rather boring sometimes.

I love the crunchy edges.

lol! Well I like chunky peanut butter much better than the smooth variety. The natural stuff, with just the right amount of sea salt

And I agree, the OJ with the pulp is way better I tend to like Tropicana, I'm not sure you can get it down that way

lol! yes, I can recall more than a few times I have eaten English muffins with crunchy peanut butter.

Hmmm.. while we are on the subject of things like this. Has anybody ever noticed that when you eat breakfast in a restaurant they almost always give you strawberry jam with your toast? Now I really hate strawberry jam, especially the commercial stuff, It is way too sweet... Give me Seville marmalade any day
*eek* my British side must be showing again!

ah, so they are like crumpets. I like them with butter, but if I'm hungry I prefer them with chilli sauce and cheese.

they also rock with marmite.

Any decent spread of jam would do for me

However I am tempted to try Scaydes proposal although without going to great lengths to find Canadian bacon, should find a decent Australian substitute

Bleck. I hate english muffins. Taste like bloomin' cardboard. Maybe if I wanted my tongue to become instantaneously dry and in no mood for any flavor, Id go ahead and eat one...http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies.../geno/rotz.gif

I much prefer those biscuits they sell at KFC or Pillsbury. Or maybe a croissant...those things are yummy!http://216.40.249.192/s/otn/love/1luvu.gif

Dont fall into the clutches of the english muffin! REVOLT! Convert to biscuitism or the croussantarians! Free coffee to the recent convertees! http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies...t/confused.gif

Bah. Croissants are light and fluffy...though they are good, though.

The english muffin is a study in the superiority of high calorie grain products, like the bagel. The versatile english muffin...able to be a hardy platform for:

Butter and jam...it is blase to use the same instrument for the spreading of both these items on the english muffin.

Quick pizza...a sourdough english muffin is infintely superior as a platform for pizza ingredients than, say, a biscuit (too small); a bagel (hole in the middle); a croissant (too light and fluffy, not manly enough for the task ); sliced bread (the very thought!).

Breakfast sandwich...pile whatever you want on it, the english muffin can take it. It is not inherently flawed like the bagel, which has an irritating hole in the center.

Snack on the go...go ahead, stick an english muffin in your back pocket! It's flat to begin with, making it flatter won't hurt anything. When you're hungry, find the nearest toaster, borrow some butter and jam, and viola! Hits the spot better than some wimpy apple or sugary candy bar ever could.

Dinner...yes, the english muffin can also feature in the main course of the evening meal. How about this idea: instant salmon filet sandwich! Toss some steamed broccoli florets and rice pilaf on it as well, and you hold in your hands gourmet dining at its most refined...all thanks to the ingenious english muffin!

Lest I forget...stale, hardened english muffins have not outlived their usefulness. No, there are still roles the stalwart english muffin can fulfill, even after it's edibility expires. Such uses:

Canadians: Lose that hockey puck? Never fear...that stale, hardened english muffin is proud to serve you in its place!

Office workers: Bring those stale english muffins to work. They make the ideal paper weight.

Self defense: Yes, that ancient english muffin hurts when used as a hand-propelled projectile weapon. Kepp some on your person just for those emergencies.

lmao!
This thread is beginning to remind me of a humorous, cartoonish book I once read, it was called "101 uses for a dead cat"

Maybe we should create a sub thread, "101 uses For a Dead English Muffin"
