Often, for me (though not so much), unless I'm making an effort not to eat at the drive-thru....
I find a lot of fast food quite tasty, and I suspect many people do. The reason for this is the kind of flavor additives that they put in the food, such as MSG, sugar, and of course salt. There's enough sodium in the average Big Mac to give several miniature giant space hamsters massive heart attacks. Most humans tend to like salt. Oddly, though, I'm not one to put salt on my food by choice (unlike my father-in-law, who will salt his food even before tasting it). Maybe that's why I crave fast food?
While I would prefer to sit in a restaurant and have a fancy burger, if its a fast burger and fries that I want, I prefer Wendy's and McD's to Burger King. I just have never much liked BK. There used to be a place up in Colorado that served well-spiced fries, and I would go nuts for those. I've never found their equal. More often than not, I go for fast food Mexican, though. Del Taco more than Taco Bell. Unfortunately, the lard content of the beans worries me. I honestly don't know if they use it.
Its all bad for me, this I know. So really, I work hard to not go the fast food route if I can. There are a number of good sandwich shops around, and many Mexican places have good lunch specials. There's also the all-you-can-eat lunch at Dragon's View.
Quiznos is one of my favorite chain-delis.

And I am also a connoisseur of pizza where ever I am. Magpies here in Tucson offers a fantastic White Pie (you can never have too much garlic), and you can easily get great items on just about any pizza, like zucchini, yellow squash, procuitto, artichoke hearts, and pine nuts. The sun dried tomatoes are too sweet for my taste, though. In Colorado, it was always Beau Jo's pizza, with a crust so thick they served honey at the table so you could eat it for desert like a sopapilla. But I hear they are under new management.
The thing that Tucson really needs is a good take-out Curry place. And a good falafel place. I could give up fast food altogether if I could have my deli sandwiches, a good falafel stuffed pita, and a nice curry everyday.
But there's still breakfast to consider. If I have to eat on the run, then I usually have to hit McD's but I get really sick of it after a short while. Fortunately, I know a great place for take-out chorizo and egg burritos that opens at 5 am and is right on the way to work! But talk about bad for me.....
