My only question for smokers is not "Why do you smoke?" but rather, I ask "Why do you take ground up stuff rolled up in a piece of paper, light it on fire, then stick it in your mouth and breathe in the smoke?"
</STRONG>
| Don't say you will never smoke.
I use to say that.
Look my friend awesome definition of cigarrete:
"Herbs rolled in a peace of white paper, with fire in one side and one imbecile in the other(side)."
Afterall it is a pleasure.

| | I 100% back up Sailor Saturn's statement, since I always say the exact same thing as she posted, LOL. I never smoked, never will. I mean, why smoke?? Why not find something else to do with that tobacco plant? Instead of kill your lungs and people around you.
And I can't stand when people smoke around me. It suffocates me. I was very weak from childhood, and my lungs can't handle smoke, especially since all those nasty asthma attacks
So I guess we need a non-smoking pub for when I'm old enough
non-tobacco-holics rock. woohoo. ^.^

| What age did you start smoking, if I may ask?
I don't think there's anything wrong with saying you will never smoke. If that's how you feel, then it's perfectly possible to live your life like that. I have never smoked, and I never intend to.

| I start about 18.
I know is perfectly possible to pass your role, long life without smoke. But is possible to become addicted. Say: I will never smoke, is something that can be changed, everybody can smoke and become addicted. You all. It is a possibility. Better to not smoke, consciously, not like abominate the cigarrete.
Better to perceive and accept the risk than abominate it.

| I know I'll never smoke. I won't even try it. My mom has said the same thing for all 42 years of her life and she still doesn't smoke, even though my dad smoked for the first 12 years of their marriage(he quit in 1990). If she can do it, I certainly can and will. |

| Exactly. I won't let it near me. Nobody has ever offered it to me, since they know I beat the crap out of the people that do...
I'd rather just never smoke. The concept of smoking sickens me. Who the heck wants to smell like that anyway???????

| What I'm trying to say is that you are already addicted.
You don't know it, because you don't smoke. Better to remain this way. Please never try it.
The will requested to never try it is far lower than the will requested to quit it.

Poste by Georgi -
But you won't become addicted if you never take that first puff | Actually the first puff is disgusting Why people perservere is an individual issue. I first smoked a cigarette at 8 - just the one - given to me by a babysitter I smoked again at 12 for a few months, in those days it was not illegal for shops to sell cigarettes to under 16s, and our local shop used to sell single cigarettes. I started smoking regularly at 15, though I stopped during both my pregnancies, and I never smoke around my kids.
It is not the first puff that is addictive, it is the last puff Watch any smoker that has no cigarettes, and see how soon after running out/giving up they want one.
@Shadow, there are more and more places now that are non-smoking, smokers are now considered social lepers.
It is good to see that attitudes in young people are changing, that smoking is not the cool thing to do any more

| | Might've guessed Ysh.
I don't smoke now (he says) but I have a pack of cigs in my draw at home just in case (along with celabratory cigars).
What are you non-smoking kids gonna do when someone offers you a toke of MJ? Shadow Sandrock is going to beat them to hell but will everyone resist drugs too?

| To be honest, yeah. I'll steal the Glaive and have a bit of fun ^_^
@Ysh yeah, young people don't really see it as 'cool' anymore as much as they did about 20 years ago.
