Am I just being paranoid? Reading to much in?

It's not your posts that aren't welcome, it's your presence itself.
Edit: I felt entitled to comment (at your request) since I'm an old-timer here. However, I haven't been around much lately, I don't remember you being particularly annoying. I've got no problems with you. 
(Darkpansy is another story though...)
