Did anyone happen to catch this episode last night? I don't usually watch CSI, but did since it was about gamers, titled "Urban Hellraisers". One of the storylines was about a 19 year old who died of renal failure because he had been playing a GTA-type game for 70 hours straight while only ingesting energy drinks. Is this even possible??

Hmm... I'm more of a Law and Order: SVU fan...
but I may watch CSI sometime.

I seem to recall there was a case some time ago (in China?) where somebody apparently died from gaming too long. I can't remember the details though. I think somebody even posted it here, but I couldn't find it when I just did a search.

My own view is that there would have to be other medical complications at work for something like this to happen. However, I'm no medical professional, so I'll leave that to those more informed than me

I think the technical medical condition required is moronitis.
