Can't say I have. But hey, if they do it, I hope they bring the camel back, it was the best acting in the whole movie

Edit:
Well, now I have The title is King Conan: Crown of Iron. The script was finished in May 2001, by John Milius, who directed and co-scripted the original movie. It sounds like it's still in pre-pre-pre-production though If you're interested, Ain't It Cool News have a review of the script, and various related rumours.

If Ah-nold going to play the title role again? They got him for Terminator 3 but couldn't get Jim Cameron. If he does come back as Conan, I'm not sure how well he could play the part considering that he's 20 years older, had open heart surgery, and now has an english vocabulary larger than 40 words.

I don't like Connan...
IMO it's the Rambo/Die Hard of fantasy.

Don't go knocking Die Hard too much; it was actually a pretty good action movie. Did it need two sequels? Of course not. But until Under Seige (Die Hard on a boat), Air Force One (Die Hard on a plane), and The Rock (Die Hard in a prison), it was a fairly original premise. Plus Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman were good on screen.

Rambo on the other hand; knock away. It's movies like Rambo that make us forget just how good Stallone can be if he tries. Rocky was a fantastic movie (it did win "Best Picture" in 1976) that is probably one of the three best sports movies of all time, but unfortunately, Stallone got himself typecast as a snarling, muscle-bound, gun-toting action charicature.

The key to enjoying movies like Conan is to go in with low expectations. Whip up some popcorn, get out a beer and watch Ah-nold kick people around and cut heads off. If you want to watch a good "film", go pick up To Kill a Mockingbird or Citizen Kane. But for pure mindless action, Ah-nold and Sly are the best in the biz.

Y'know, it amazes me at times to see people dedicate so much effort to the destruction of their own enjoyment / entertainment. Like those who have walked into Lord of the Rings, having read the book prior..and listen as they nit-pick scenes and characters until they cant enjoy the movie (Arwen being in the film..and given lines, scenes during the day..when they took place at night, ect). Come on now, is it so hard to go to a film thats premise interests you..and spins a good tale, and just enjoy it for the entertainment value it is supposed to offer. A perfect example would be wrestling, if you can take the 2hr program for what it offers, simple entertainment..rather than reminding yourself that its all false, you would enjoy yourself. And before those of you that feel yourselves intellectually above what wrestling offers dish out a sarcastic comment..trying looking at what the business grosses annually, aswell as the fact that it is one of the most observed programs on television today. Its another matter all together when you watch a film that clearly shows little effort and imagination..stating that the creators didnt really wish for success. This is not at all the case with films such as : LotR,Conan,Willow,Gladiator and many other films. The above mentioned films clearly convey time, effort and money all directed toward the telling of a good tale. Now if you have no interest in the genre/premise..its another matter, in that more than likely the film will not appeal to you..though you may appreciate the efforts, ect put into the films creation. But to be a fan of Fantasy..and not enjoy the films mentioned above for reasons as raised earlier in this post(LotR)is in perfect description "anal". People who take part in such nit-picking should do themselves the favor of staying at home..rather than paying the ticket price for a 2hr+ whine-fest. If you feel the need to go regardless..at least keep it to yourself or find another like you, because really the rest of us just roll our eyes and murmur about you people. NOTE: You need not take offense if the above does not apply to you. More than likely if you have taken no offense..you understand where I am coming from

Don't worry, I'm sure the script will be mainly grunting I haven't read the script review that I mentioned above, but it will probably be an older Conan, so maybe the role won't be beyond Arnie. It's been too long since he made a decent movie, even action ones...

I haven't found anything about the casting yet, aside from a rumour that Jude Law might have a part.

Re. nitpicking, I think it's perfectly possible to enjoy something for entertainment value and still be able to make criticisms of it... and hey, it gives us something to talk about

Funny, you mention this in Conan the Destroyer however, I thought Georgi was referring to the Camel that was punched out by conan in the first movie, conan the barbarian.

It's a running joke... The camel turns up in the sequel, Arnie says "You again?!" and punches it again

Perhaps that's because Conan the Destroyer was such a bad movie that you've repressed all memories of seeing it.
