Well, I got some of that left around, so... it'll probably be gone by tomorrow.

My mom came up with a somewhat crazy idea earlier: peanut butter & banana smoothie. Might wanna try that for breakfast.

That might be good, definately not good for you if you throw a lot of peanut butter in though.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Trust me, Magrus, I'm not horrible at feeding myself from scratch. I just need to do such more often.

Speaking of bananas, I was wondering if anybody thought to do this. My mom taught me this not too long ago when I was trying to make another banana milkshake.

First, mash your banana with a fork in whatever container you use to blend your beverage. Next, use a hand-held blender (or you can possibly use a mixer, if that's your equipment and preference) to turn your banana into a lumpless puree. This way, your shake won't experience a number of nearly chewable banana lumps, and may help with circumstances where chewing is not an option (ie: tooth extractions, broken jaw, etc.).

I'd highly suggest doing such with a stick-shaped hand blender (or for those who know chefs like Emeril Lagasse, a 'boat motor').

Wouldn't a standard blender work better? Just cap and hit liquify and BZZZT done.

It might. I've found that my mom's boat motor is a more direct approach to the bananas, specifically since it has a small blade that less stuff gets stuck around.

Morphine makes everything comfortable...
I was hooked up with something when I had mine pulled. I know I was on a special migraine medicine that had a caffiene/ibuprofin/codiene mix. I can't recall what I was on when my wisdom teeth were pulled though. Good stuff whatever it was.

It's true. I dabble in weight lifting and lowfat cottage cheese is an idea food for weightlifters- high in protein, relatively low in everything else. They recommend it as a late night snack, sort of a late in the day thing. Personally, when I lift alot I crave the stuff, but otherwise I think it's kind so-so.

They didn't give me any pain killer. I had such an easy time with the first surgery that I had no problem skipping the anti-inflammator medicine they gave me.

Besides, feeling strange like that makes me uncomfortable. I prefer to either be wide awake or in a nice natural sleep (mostly when I should go to bed).

I know that I would have been sunk without the pain killers. Getting your wisdom teeth out is no small feat. The doctor who did it for me actually told me to stay ahead of the pain by taking painkillers every 4 to 4.5 hours. It worked, I have to say that.

I can understand not wanting to be on painkillers- to each their own. Hopefully you won't feel too bad.

I don't know how you do it Galuf. I can deal with pain, I have chronic pain in my neck and jaw. Still, I'd take painkiller's over dealing with the pain any day. I have a friend who has an insane pain tolerance, he walked around with shards of glass buried in the bottom of his foot for 4 days before noticing. He still demands painkiller's when he's hurting.

A plastic fork is easy to get if you have a fast food place nearby.
A little hint though, if you are going to store it for more than 24-36 hours, slightly undercook the pasta. Leaving it in dressing for this long will counterbalance that.

For variety maybe you could try avocado (eg guacamole). They have lots of food value and are quite easy to get down without chewing if you mash them with garlic and lots of lemon juice. You'd probably have to avoid chilli or spice but they taste good without

Taramasalata is good too, but a little goes a long way without something tasteless to balance it. You could eat it with hummus though.

Cream cheese mixed with cream and a splash of rum eats well with cold stewed rhubarb or plums (skin them)

You can make cold soups like gazpacho (basically tomato soup crossed with tomato salsa.

Try some savoury jams/pickles, recipies are very subjective, but I'm sure you can find something out there

Oh, and Fiona, welcome to SYM!

Well eat jars of it then yes, but peanut butter is another great staple of bodybuilders packed with protein and friendly fatty acids.

As for the pain, it can be worse; I seem especially susceptible to sore throats, very SEVERE sore throats. Try having it very painful to swallow your own saliva Without becoming an aspirin junkie I can only drink ice cold water.
