Well yes, but where you are involved fear is a natural consequence

@Hill and BS,
if the two of you are fantasizing about Luis stripping.. maybe you should reopen a certain tent..

No, once upon a time, a long time ago, Luis Antonio made my task to dance naked with him and Locke for BS. I just ended up stripping for him to get it over with. Anything else?

You would be in a technical violation of the Guidelines if you opened did that re-opening

Guidelines for DW's Thread Challenge Thingie

Part A Section 1: Judging process:

Judging will be comprised of skimming through said threads as quickly as possible for the following reasons.
A: It's less work
B. None of them will likely have anything of merit in them anyway
C: The panels decisions are final, and as such, they can do whatever the Hell they want.

All threads will be accorded the same amount of consideration. Which only guarranttees that all threads will be at least acknowledged. Don't expect much in the way of enthusiasm of warm fuzzies. The panel likely can't muster up enough energy for that. Hell, they couldn;t even muster up enough energy to write their own handbook.

Threads submitted must be original, well rounded, and show at least an inkling of thought. The following thread types will NOT be accepted for any reason:

A: Bar threads- Sorry folks, I enjoy a good drink as much as the next person, but a bar thread is a bar thread. Although the panel will be retiring frequently to said bar threads to drown the horror of sloshing through the actual submissions.
B: Any annoying group thread: This covers everything ranging from a resurgence of COMM to any of the latter day "organizations" such as Heathen. yes, we all know you're particular group rules all others, and it is accepted that as such it is Master of the Board. You're all special, although perhaps not in the way you wish to be. The only exeption to this rule is for the establishment of the SYMian Lemming Society so long as the step in initiation involves leaping off the nearest cliff and drowning yourself. Don;t look at me like that, the reasoning behind the jumping is the same as the one behind every other cult or organization; "Everybody else was doing it"
C. Same old Same old threads: This indicates any thread that is a cheap rip off of another thread. This does not mean that certain similarities cannot exist, after all the board has existed a long time. But try and be original( yes, yes, we know, but try anyway). Don't post any more SYMian dictionaries, SYMian geneology threads, or rip off the Spammers guide.
D: Nothing pointless- yes, we've all done this at one time or another. The Pointless Thread with Which we Attempt to Fit In. But post after post of "Hi" "That sucks" OMG!!" "I'm having pizza" "I'm bored" do not qualify as either creative or original.

General tips for deciding to enter or not:

A: Don't. No good will come of it.
B: Why are you still readin this? Didn't you read A?
C: Sigh...fine then. It seems tip number 1 is that it doesn't matter if you can follow simple instructions.
D: If you're thin skinned, do not enter. The panel has no time for anyone who takes everything personally.
E: First, consider if you are an uncreative buffoon without a drop of originality or intelligence
F: Regardless of what you decided in E, accept that you are in fact an uncreative buffoon without a drop of originality or intelligence.
G: Go ahead and enter. It's obvious you have no compassion on the panel who will have to wade through your efforts
H: IMPORTANT- if this guide alone makes you angry, do not enter. No really, just bugger off.

Thread will be judged on two ctagories, Serious and non serious threads. Serious threads can be thought of as the ones where people will mock you because you aren't informed enough to defend your position on the subject at hand with 15 gazillion references to show that yes, you are capable of basing your thoughts entirely on what you read. Non Serious threads can be thought of as the ones where you will be mocked for no good reason other than it amuses someone, or they will be the humorous threads you see spring up from time to time whose purpose is usually to give the author of said thread a platform from which to mock everyone else. The basic thing to keep in mind for each thread is:

A: In serious discussion, you will be expected to know what your talking about. This board has a bothersome member base which includes people who are both intelligent and articulate. To make it worse, some of them have standards. So remember,
someone here will likely be as much or more informed of the subject you post than you are. Don't come whining to the panel when you can;t defend your own views.
B: In non serious discussion- make it up as you go along. But remember the possiblility always exists it will all backfire on you.

Last but not least, no whining about things being unfair, no pouting, and no general making a pest of yourself.
