I mean, the 1980 version... Brian Blessed was the prince of the winged guys... Voltan or something, I think his name was... Basically, he's a fat, bearded English guy with a deep voice

Brian Blessed is actually a very good British actor, he's been playing classic BBC-series, comedy and Shakespeare. He is sturdy and has a large beard, but when he plays serious roles, he's doesn't look funny at all, just imposting. He did a brilliant Exeter in Kenneth Branagh's "Henry V", for instance. This guy in an armour does not look funny! And his voice is like music...
