I don't really see the problem with this, I hate reality TV too, but this does publicise cats which may help to provide more with homes.
The cats probably won't even see much of a difference.
If they were deliberately causing harm to the cats in the challenges and te like, then it'd be a different matter...as it is, I see it as no worse than any old bad reality show, in fact it'll probably treat the 'competitors' better than the human equivalents in Big Brother etc.
How can THAT be worse then current "Reality" TV shows. The most real thing about most of these shows I see is that they "real"ly suck. We prolly don't get as many as some people here in Aus, but I see enough to know that I'd rather make love to a bag of broken glass, super heated and dipped into acid.
