Easy ones, oldies but goodies, feel free to add your own

1) How many months in this year have 28 days?

2) What do you get if you divide 20 by half then add 10?

3) A farmer has 15 sheep. All but 6 of them die. How many sheep are left?

4) Can a man in England legally be buried in Scotland?

5) What was the British Prime Minister's name in 1980?

6) There are three apples and you take two away, how many are you left with?

7) Two men play five games of chess. All games are completed. Each man wins the same number of games. There are no draws. How did this happen?

8) How many animals of each species did Moses bring with him onto the Ark?

9) A butcher is 5'10" tall. What is he most likely to weigh?

10) It's very cold and you have only one match. You enter a room where there is a candle, an oil lamp, a dry rag and a wood burning stove. Which one would you light first?

My answers:

1) All of them.

2) Either 20 or 50 (20/2 + 10=20, 20 divided by 1/2 + 10=50), depending on how you word it.

3) 6

4) Maybe, but only if he's dead.

5) ???

6) two

7) They didn't play each other. They played other people.

8) two of each

9) Whatever a man his size would weigh, I suppose...

10) The match.

Nice ones.

1) How many months in this year have 28 days?
ANS: 12, because all twelve have at least 28 days in them.

2) What do you get if you divide 20 by half then add 10?
ANS: 20 or 12, depending if the guy who asked you is a grammar cop...(I'd go with 12)

3) A farmer has 15 sheep. All but 6 of them die. How many sheep are left?
ANS: 6...duhh....

4) Can a man in England legally be buried in Scotland?
ANS: not unless he's already dead.

5) What was the British Prime Minister's name in 1980?
ANS: Blair (the current one would still have had the same name in 1980)

6) There are three apples and you take two away, how many are you left with?
ANS: One

7) Two men play five games of chess. All games are completed. Each man wins the same number of games. There are no draws. How did this happen?
ANS: The two men played did not have to play all five games against each other. They could each have played their fifth game against a third man and it would not contradict any of the previous statements given. Or they could have just played with several other people.

8) How many animals of each species did Moses bring with him onto the Ark?
ANS: none, Noah was the ark dude.

9) A butcher is 5'10" tall. What is he most likely to weigh?
ANS: meat

10) It's very cold and you have only one match. You enter a room where there is a candle, an oil lamp, a dry rag and a wood burning stove. Which one would you light first?
ANS: The match

actually, I believe #6 is 2 - if someone else took the apples, you would only have one, but you're the person taking the two apples, therefore you have two.

I swear I didnt scroll down to see Scayde's answers.

I got another one:

You've been sentenced to death in an obscure foreign country which has a strange law. Before the sentence is carried out, two papers -- one with "LIFE" written on it and one with "DEATH" written on it -- are folded up and placed in a hat. You are permitted to pick out one of the papers (without looking), and if you choose the one with "LIFE" written on it, you are set free. Otherwise, the death sentence is carried out. On this occasion, a mean-spirited acquaintance of yours, bent on your demise, has substituted the paper with "LIFE" written on it with another one with "DEATH" written on it. This person gleefully informs you of what he has done and that you are doomed to die. You are not permitted to speak to anyone about this misdeed, nor will you have a chance to switch the papers or the hat yourself in time.

How will you avoid certain death?
