Yeah I need find a word. Dictionary is useless.

I have these little balls. Or rather I had because I keep breaking them, and I´m all out now. I need to get new ones, preferably some that don´t break as easily.

They´re about the size of a tennis ball, except they´re made of cloth instead of tennis ball.. whatever tennis balls are made of. Like little sacks, except sown together and filled with a few hundred short, split pea sized cut vines of some kind. It could be anything I guess. Though they´re hard they´re not particularly heavy and the sack isn´t completely filled with them. Kind of makes the ball more malleable. It doesn´t bounce unless you throw the thing as hard against a wall as I do.

What the heck darn do you call something like that?

Hm, maybe. Suitable description though. From the Google pictures I get a different image from stress balls, mines are sewn together much like a baseball. Most stress balls I see are rubbery foam.

They would do I guess.. dammit I just want my balls back. All pun intended.

Stress ball - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That picture there gets close except it's not filled with those dried stems to such an extend that the exterior is completely blown up by it. You can't squeeze it in your fist like in that picture either.

Maybe my balls are unique.

Not sure of spelling, but here are two possibles...
Hacky Sack.....a cloth like ball for playing games.
also a few years back, I had what you describe, as a set of a beginning to juggle balls, they were small and sound like the ones you've had.

That's it, thank you! The name is little weird though.. isn't there a song with a similar title? In any case, thank you! I was starting to feel like I couldn't get my fix.

It almost looks exactly like mine, except it's grey/orange instead of white green. The stitching seems wider too, but that may be because I tore it. So they're used in games huh? Excellent, excellent. I never would have figured that, which should make it all the easier to track some down. Great, absolutely great.

That's not a hack sack. No clue what those are called, but they used to be prizes at arcades when I was little. I used to tear them open and fill them with catnip, sew them back up and give them to my cat. I'd find them shredded, and my cat passed out with catnip everywhere when I woke up the next day.

Hacks are actual cloth weave sacks, not an imitation leather version. Same basic principle of the way the ball is made other than that though. A sack cover filled with a hard pebble type filling.

Well it does its job. If I use tennis balls or other any other type of ball that bounces, things start breaking in my cramped little room. If use a heavier cue or petanque balls instead I'm going to smash pieces out of my wall. Yeah, I have my moments.
