Hello,

I'm 15 and currently doing my Graphics GCSE. Me and two friends are entering a competition and I was wondering if anyone up here can help me (hmm why did I say 'up here')

We have to design a poster for 'Falcon Computers'

Our basic design is a background (which one person is doing) of blacks and blues...dynamically of course. Another is doing the lettering (no capitals, lightish grey). My task is to make a falcon look like it is coming out of a computer, but, of course, I am having difficulty.

Mainly it is the shattering glass. I dont know how to make it look right, and realistic.

The other problem im having is choosing a falcon picture. What position do you think would be best? Gliding, swooping, landing, or what?

Ill be back with more problems tomorrow

Have you ever heard any more inspiring or logical words? I sure haven't.

well, the easiest will be head-on or from the side, so a picture of one flying straight towards the camera or swooping across the picture - preferably with talons out - would be peachy.

the glass is trickier. The easiest way would be to try and find a picture of breaking glass and cut, paste, stretch and warp it a bit to fit, then use a lot of blurring, partly for the idea of motion, mainly to hide the flaws.

(actually, a picture of a shattering monitor would be best, but anyhoo...)

but basically, make it look alrightish in big, introduce some motion blur and so forth, maybe manually try to hammer out the nastiest bits, then reduce the size a bit and reduce the colour range to the blacks and blues.
