This was taken from the reader's opinions page of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette: Quote: Daylight exacerbates warning
You may have noticed that March of this year was particularly hot. As a matter of fact, I understand that it was the hottest March since the beginning of the last century. All of the trees were fully leafed out and legions of bugs and snakes were crawling around during a time in Arkansas when, on a normal year, we might see a snowflake or two. This should come as no surprise to any reasonable person. As you know, Daylight Saving Time started almost a month early this year. You would think that members of Congress would have considered the warming effect that an extra hour of daylight would have on our climate. Or did they ? Perhaps this is another plot by a liberal Congress to make us believe that global warming is a real threat. Perhaps next time there should be serious studies performed before Congress passes laws with such far-reaching effects. CONNIE M. MESKIMEN / Hot Springs | I am so glad I forgot to adjust the clock in my office, that way I can still work in peace, without having bugs and snakes around!

| I have never believed that global warming was anything more than a myth, especially now that central texas recently got 6" of snow in april, but im sure that it was because of global warming .

Global warming has something to do with the number of pirates in the world. The more pirates, the lower the average temperature is. Belive in the teachings of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and help stop global warming!

Dragon Wench already started a thread about global warming, so I would prefer it if this thread does not start a new discussion on the subject, but rather concentrate on the text I quoted.
I don't want to sound like a dictator, but my purpose was to share this jewel of a letter, not to steal DW's thread.
Edit: But I must admit you are right, Fiberfar, it has something to do with pirates. And I would not be surprised if martians and some Ancient Egypt's gods had also something to do with it.

Anyways... You can see this all around the world now. I do not belive we should limit this conspracy to a liberal congress, but to the goverments of the world. I think they're co-operating on this

Don't stop global warming, start planning seaside resorts in (soon-to-be) sunny, temperate England! Trade your sweaters and anoraks for Hawaiian shirts!

Anyways - fun original quote. Daylight Saving controlling the weather. I trust it is irony to describe general opinion of a conspiracy theorist mindset (at least I hope so )

1) The Channel will rise. The UK will be isolated from France. The British can feel safe in their beds, once more!
2) Ireland will vanish.
3) Wales will become a desert island.
4) Hawaiians will flock to live there, giving the UK a festive appearance. Finchley will become an exotic capitol of decadence.
