Is fox news bush private brainwashing channel or what???
I got really annoyed when i watched foxnews my first and last time for some days ago...
they only talk about how good the us are...
When both Cnn, bbc, and all the swedish newsprograms reported of big american casulties, Fox news just kept going on with how many iraqies they killed, only good news(in the american eyes....). Where is the objectivity?

I suppose any media outlet is going to report with some bias one way or another, but yes, you're right Fox news has certainly tipped the scales beyond objectivity.
If it's any consolation, perhaps you could watch it to serve as comic relief.

Don't watch it if it irritates you, Fox is about the most unobjective news you can fine, primarily far right wing people get their news from that channel, myself I quickly skip by the channnel when I am looking for news, which I rarely do anymore because I have long ago decided that news isn't really news anymore.

Oh, BTW: This chap wasn't biased at all was he?
EDIT - this is your first post on Gamebanshee and you chose this potentially volatile topic? Good luck to you.

@Gruntboy: I am gonna miss that guy so-o-o-o-o much!! You gotta admit: it takes a special kind of person to twist their mind so far off the beaten path of reality.
I wonder what will happen to him ... I have visions of him sitting in the desert somewhere, rubbing sand over his body as if taking a bath, singing of April showers, and playing with a rubber ducky!
@Akesson: all news has got a slant, and you've probably got one too, which distorts what you hear. Just look at different sources, and don't be too quick to believe everything you hear.

This is where discerning minds learn to use all available resources.
To claim one particular news service is biased, while holding up others as objective by comparison, is really a case of the pot calling the kettle black, and doesn't hold up under close, honest scrutiny. Look at as many as you can to collect the data you desire, let the spins roll off of you, and form your own opinions. A novel idea I know, but it works. Hell, you even might discover that just about every news service out there adds their own special slant to what they serve up for public consumption.
@Grunty: Where's his mustache?
@Lazarus: LOL...well, I seem to recall a certain Quadaffi fellow that might have given this guy a run for his money.

@Akesson: Hello and welcome to SYM Where on earth is Väckelsång? (Forgive me, I'm a 08)
Regarding Fox, I have never watched neither Fox news nor Al Jazeera, so I can't comment personally, but as I posted in another thread: Another American messageboard with about 20 000 memebrs, had a discussion thread about what broadcaster was the most and least reliable. Let me also mention that a majority of the posters were American. In that thread however, most people held BBC as the most objective and reliable, and Fox was called a joke. Al Jazeera was actually seen as a relatively good and objective source of information compared to several of the American broadcasters.

If a person must get news from a TV, take 30% as "close" to the truth, 70% of personal opinion. Far right, Far Left, Middle, Right or Left.

Among journalists, Fox News' nickname is TASS.

I don't think very highly of Fox, here is just one article about Fox which was recently shown on an independent news show in Australia. Ok, I know I picked the worst example possible but with so many other news channels around these days, Fox is clearly a level below most.

Today in The Globe and Mail, an article was printed about CNN bashing CBC for its "biased" view on the war. I find CBC and BBC to be the best sources out there (although, BBC being much better than CBC).
Anyways, Fox and CNN were named contenders for the "Gulf conflict's cheerleader-of-the-year award". Fox probably being out front. Here is a link to the article.

Nice article Nightmare, although I'm disappointed that the BBC were or are being forced to close their live feeds from the ships in the gulf.

väckelsång... 3mil south of växjö
I have a feeling that some people got me wrong.
I just wanted to see how many that feelt the same way as me about fox news in this forum. Because i heard(dont know where) that lots of people prefer fox instead of other news channels and i wanted to see if that was true in this forum...
