Oh, I know the kind of thing you mean! In the US, AAA is a very large organization that offers motorists some exclusive services for a yearly fee: free towing, travelers' checks at no additional charge, etc.

Can't say I've ever gotten or trained an alien, however. Well, trained one, at any rate. I did get one, but after explaining to it what George Bush was like, it ran for its spaceship and flew off to parts unknown. Strangest thing, really.

Actually, I do like you. I'm just naturally confusing. It took a long time to develop this trait, and I'm quite proud of the progress I'm made, thus far. Please bear with me. Rest assured, it will get worse.

do you think you could teach me this natural confusation thing? it might be usefull one day. then we will call it even

aaa is a very small bit like neopets, but with less meanial tasks like feeding your alien. there is more violence and less trading. trading in AAA is mainly weapons or different types of currency, each of which buy different things. also, there is a cool chat room and message bourd, which neopets dont have

Hmm. I'll do my best, not because I owe you anything (I don't), but because I can see you have potential, and I don't want to dampen the enthusiasm of any neophyte to the fine art of confusion. So I'll post a few hints, which will hopefully get you started. Feel free to ask, if you have any more questions. I won't necessarily answer, but I might.

The first important thing to remember about confusion is that most people think in linear patterns, through time. This means that conversations have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Now, if you don't think in this fashion, it's easy to resume the middle of one conversation in the middle of another. This type of conversation resembles those little Russian dolls that open up to reveal another doll. Fun for the whole family.

Then, there's spamming. Spamming in itself is wonderfully confusing. The art to spamming while remaining in a conversation is to make the spam focus on an obscure detail you were talking about, like air conditioning in Alaska if you're discussing new cars. There *is* a tie, there, but not enough to rate as intelligent. It's close enough not to raise more than a mild protest from your speaking companion, and far enough away as a subject to raise their hackles.

Finally, focus on moments in your conversation and treat 'em literally. This is actually quite easy if you have a depraved mind. The easiest way to start is by mangling an idiom. Thus, I've been known to say or write, "X is the way it happens, if you follow me, and I really wish you wouldn't." But say it *with sincerity.* You've got to feel it. Make it look like a plaintive appeal to a deranged hitman who just won't leave you alone. When you've mastered that, people will view you with awe and puzzlement. They will also request you move away, or, failing that, move away themselves. With luck, you can even empty entire portions of the countryside, thus returning your nation to its original condition of pristine wilderness. And who can say such an idea is bad?

I hope all this helps.

According to soemthing that I read, most adults think in linear patterns; however, most of my generation and younger think mosaically, which is the method you're refering to when speaking of those who don't think in linear patterns. This is why I can so easily confuse my parents and most other adults I speak with.

I feel compelled to add a little quote about confusing to add to this.

I've noticed plenty of teens who can be easily confused by non-linear thinking; conversely, I've worked with, or known, artists in a variety of media who at any age prefer to glide from drifting plank to plank, without reference to all the neural pathways in between.

I am a linear thinker, isn't it obvious?
