I'm too tired to think of a fancy name, but since I miss a tavern to just chat in, I should follow my own advice from DW's thread and start such threads I would like.
So how is everybody? I am tired, I work too much, but all is fine, I'm very happy and I am going to East Greenland next week for a splendid holiday in the pack ice

A tavern
I'm fine, and on the threshold of a major breakthru in time travel. Or, I could still be hallucenating.

I'm fine too, except that the guy from the Flooring shop just called and said that they didn't have any more of our tile available anywhere. So much for our great plans for the living room!

@BS: Sorry for the name of the thread, I feel totally out of wit now (well, I guess that's more or less my normal state).
@Gwally: Aw, too bad about the tiles Hope you find something else - it seems like there are millions of different types around. Not that I know much about floors, but my parents are just getting a new floor for the dining room in their summer house.
@Sytze: Drinking holiday? Where?
France is nice...I haven't been there for a long time though, will go to Paris early next spring though.
Greenland is actually quite warm in the summer, last time I was there it was over 70F/20C all day around, and sunshine all day of course. I came home with an incredible tan, and people thought I was joking when they asked me where I had been and I said "Greenland"
EDIT: Good night Sytze, see you later

I'm, well, awake right now. I'm surprisingly cheerful despite my coming 18th birthday, possibly because I haven't failed college - I hope - and it's the holiday. not much paranoia yet.
and I'm getting a brand new PC. which my sister the art student has volunteered to make into a hot rod style thingummy - glossy, black, flames, chrome, pin-up girl on side. and it's cheap. I'm bouncing up and down in my chair in anticipation. also plan to get a digital camera soon so I can indulge my love of random picture-taking a bit more.

I've always wanted to visit Greenland. Especially right about now.
I'll live through the tile ordeal, its just a bit of a disappointment.
You know what this tavern really needs? Pictures of belly dancers.

Good Idea
Well I have the flu, and my head feels as though it is stuffed full of cotton wool, while my neck and shoulders feel as though they are locked in a vice grip, I'm stressed about work.. but other than that things are marvelous

@Robnark: Congrats to the new PC and your birthday too - are the two events connected some way?
I've just a got a new PC too, but I suspect the hubby just wanted a good excuse to buy a new machine...
@Gwally: Greenland is loverly, the scenery is stunning...since you like both desert and mountains, I am sure you would like the Arctic desert as well...
Hm, the hubby is busy playing D2, so no pictures of me belly-dancing tonight
@DW: Sounds awful, I hope your partner is giving you hot tea and a nice massage to soften up your neck...

I'm more than fine... I'm great! The summer started a week ago for me and I've enjoyed every minute of it! It's amazing how I've come to appreciate not doing exams every day I also earned a scholarship to a pretty elite school, but that means almost nothing to me at the moment since school is still ages away. Me and my family plan on going in Italy for a week or so during beginning of August/end of July, so things are pretty much looking up in all respects
