I found this game to be very addictive, i'm playing it for the third time now, and i'm still having fun. This time however i also have the Underworld addon, which is pretty much more of the same, except a bit harder. Still, there's no real challenge for a level 51 battlemage who can cast fireballs that kill a dragon with only a few hits.

Maybe it's time to change characters, i have never played anything else than the battlemage.

I played it yesterday for a couple of hours. I haven't expected much and got even less. I forced myself through the first five quests and suddenly really found myself being immersed slightly for a second or so. Hunting for loot *can* be immersive. But when I noticed that my inventory was full of darn good items and that I had about 20000 gold I realized that this was heading nowhere (remember, I just finished five quests - mostly subquests). Too easy, too uncreative. The quests are pathetic, the dialogs just laughable. They call it action-RPG, but I totally missed the RPG-part. Fortunately I haven't bought it (as I initially intended). My sister got it from a friend...and somehow seems to like it pretty much. I should tie her to a chair and force her to play Planescape: Torment or Fallout for a while. That should cure her.

I played it hard for several months. Played all the characters, having at least 6-12 characters builds from each character class (non-expansion version). Highest character level that I actually made it to without dying from boredom was level 136 with a dual-wielding-dexterity-fire-based-Gladiator. I played single player extensivily. Even took level 60-somethings into Noibium Mode for some nice adrenaline rushes (my adrenaline rushes)...but that got tiresome eventually.

Though, it was a treat to release myself from the over played Diablo 2. But, it got boring, and I found myself commentating on the Sacred Forum Boards more than I was playing the game. And right as the expansion was being released followed with major bugs in the opening first few patches after the expansion was released...I said, "No Thankyou, I've had my fun, and now I'm done." Good Diablo clone-of-a-game, but like all things...they usually come to an end.

I bought it when referred to it by the manager at my local game shop. It was actually her copy that she traded in after finishing it (I bet she got more than the $3 bucks I normally get offered).

Anyway, haven't finished it. I just bought the expansion pack today for $2 at the same shop. Started a new game with one of the new characters. I'm still looking for the ultimate game to match my old pen and paper D&D days but nothing I've found yet. As for this game, I do see the repetition, but it's a nice little hack and slash to pass the time.

Yeah, sure I've played Sacred. I am online some of the time. But much prefer Single Player. The games okay, not great, but it's a good time-waster. I would rate it a 7 out of 10.

Played it for years and still am. There's enough in it, especially if you're playing online in HardCore to keep you coming up with new builds. The community is especially great, and getting super rare items to make those "dream builds" is easy because of the community.

The game is years old, so you'd have to really appreciate it for it's mechanics which still haven't been completely figured out yet. ^^

It's a fun game..what more to say
