I've been reading the Matt Barton articles about the history of Role Playing Games. Part 1 of 3 starts at
Gamasutra.com - The History of Computer Role-Playing Games Part 1: The Early Years (1980-1983)

I was curious about the reactions of others here concerning the author's list of RPGs as well as his viewpoints.

Interesting article, but that's as far as I'll go since I'm not really familiar with the games listed at those dates (1974 - 1983). I will head over to Gamasutra to take a look at the other parts.

I've read at least three the past two months or so, one of which referred to some relatively older parts one and two, written when the subjects were closer to currency (GameSpot or GameSpy, one of those mostly-consoles places).
