| | | But Anomen is not a paladin. He is fighter/cleric (priest of Helm) hoping to become a knight one day. Fighter/cleric is not expected to be a paragon of virtue. It is OK for him to be a bit arrogant, abusive and chauvinistic. At least he has a personality.
One of the problems in PRG, imo, is lack of character development beyond level advancement. Yes, sometimes party members can react to protagonist's actions according to their alignment. But most of the time, they just tag along, carry your inventory and fight whenever you fight whomever you fight. Romancing such NPC is like romancing a mule. Every 5 days a mule offers an insipid dialogue, and after 3-4 dialogues you get laid. And nobody ever complains about lousy sex, btw. With mules, it is always "happily-ever-after".

| | | Is this some kind of mod, the Ajantis romance in BG1? This is the first I heard of this.
As for romances in BGII, I mostly end up with Aerie, who's far less annoying than everyone depicts her, or with Jaheira. I never particularly cared about Viconia. Probably because I always play a Good-aligned party. |

| | BG1NPC. It adds 6 romances and BG2-style char dev to all the BG1 joinables. I think Jastey also about to release Ajantis for vanilla BG1 (BG1NPC works on TUTU or BGT platforms). Quote: |

| Well lot's of modded characters deviate from this scheme. I know that you can complain about sex for sure, some you don't have to sleep with to continue a romance, bunch of them argue your actions, protest them, override them and some interject and talk about current events all the time. They also flirt with you all the time when in romance, and you can flirt with them. (Shrug.) I've seen it all, I suppose.

| | Wee, guess what I saw the first thing when I entered our local EB Games today (the very same where they had no idea Kult existed?) Heretic Kingdoms. For 10$, apparently new. Sheesh, that's a useful inventory clearance, unless they just re-issued the game So, hopefully, I will have time to check it out in the next few months. |

| | | I think you might enjoy it. It has a dry sense of humour and some surprising gameplay. It can easily stand up to some bigbudget titles. |
