| | | Best rpg I am like JudgeU , I stareted playing with Finale fanitsy and Zelda, but you know what,i still have them, and i still play them with my grand children,lol...... How ever i like EQ2 just wont pay that much money a month,,,Fable is a pretty good game,...can not hardly wait for the new one tho...NWN2 helps me pass the time, met alot of good friends on the solo channle,......... So my fave is EQ2 the one i wont pay for ,...So i'm hoping Fable will take some of EQ2's, market system and crafting, and use it in there New release, just leave the big monthly dues alone. |

| | | Fave RPG's Not being a heavy console RPGer, I like the handheld RPG's on the GameBoys and Nintendo DS. Personal faves are:
Dragon Warrior I/II/III
FF 1,2,3,4,5,TA
Golden Sun 1&2
Pokemon
On PC, I also have a few RPGs I like, including but not limited to:
Exile: Escape From The Pit
Dungeon Lords
DB Quest
Pits of Angband
Dragon Quest (admittedly more of an old-school text adventure game but has good atmosphere and high challenge factor.)
Excelsior: Phase One Lysandia
I also like Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for GameCube.
If my PC faves sound unfamiliar, it's because they are REALLY old games, two of which are shareware. And PoA is circa late-80s. DBQ is fairly simple, but gets addictive easily. Cliched but good story.
And even though it's a dungeon-crawler style RPG, I like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, as well.

1 champions of norathh PS2
2 champions of norathh 2 PS2 (im finding very easy even on legendary mode)
3 Baldurs gate 1 PS2 (ive read alot of the books on drizzt dourden the "dark Elf" unlocked on the gauntlet)
4 Baldurs gate 2 XBOX (sad to say i sold this game and now i try to buy from game stop nd they want 50$ for it used")
5 Morrowwind XBOX (i wish i had a cpu good enough for this game but my XBOX game of the year version has given me 700+hours of game play. i think that all rpgs should give u the freedoms this game does and all the items and weapons clothes etc.)
5 Dragon warrior 1 NES (i just bought this game again. it was my first rpg. i got it for 5$)
6 all the final fantiesies have been fun 10,10-2,12, and i got the one for game cube but i think it stinks

| | | May be lame to post on this forum but... Deus Ex is by far the rpg that affected me the most. Never played any game so fun, and the storyline is incredible. |

| | | Deus Ex is most certainly an RPG if any first person game can be called one.
Such an amazing game - terribad sequel, but great call. FO2 BG1 and DX are 'RPGs' that left long lasting memories. |

| | | Mine is definitely Planescape Torment, followed closely by Baldur's Gate II.
Deus Ex gets an honourable mention, and Knights of the Old Republic II also has a special place in my heart.

| | | 1. DAGGERFALL - used to scare me into heart-thumping scared-sillyness in dungeons.
2. Planescape Torment - it made me laugh a lot and I loved the puzzles.
3. Oblivion - still doggedly playing this one for lack of anything comparable.
4. Morrowind - played this to death.
5. Neverwinter Nights - an good game, like all the old BG stuff, but much too linear. Got some good characters in it.
Some honourable mentions:
The Might and Magic games (but NOT Heroes of Might and Magic, which I was rubbish at) - which are also very linear, but I loved 'em all.
Albion - well, not actually the best game in the world, but I loved it despite it's failings! I'd play it now if it worked on anything but ancient computers.

| | | I would have to go with Final Fantasy 5. The class combinations and switching make the game really compelling and keeps the fighting fresh throughout the game. It's that type of customization that I now look for in rpg's.
World of Warcraft was also a fun experience. It was the first MMO that I actually enjoyed, not that I tried many MMO's before it. It's just a shame that WoW doesn't really go anywhere.
