@king181, welcome to the discussions. As you'll notice, (you must have seen it by now) we only have unmarked maps on our walkthrough session. But the walkthrough lists the enemies you'll find, sometimes saying where in special cases. I guess with that we could start with that, at least for quick reference.

Now, it seems to me that you have a trouble with strategy/party formation or with the starting game. Yes, the game is very challenging at the begining and at some of the mid-levels (I'll not mention the last combat yet) but it is do-able even in solo.

So, how have you been dying? Can we help at some point? List your party, say where you are and what kills you, and we will try to help.

There is an ingame map that shows your current position and can be zoomed in and out. Other than that you could either use the maps in the GB walkthrough (perhaps printing and occasionly marking your position) or buy a strategy guide and do a similar thing. The ingame map also allows you to 'flag' locations on it which may help, though AFAIK there is no small map that can be overlaid on the screen while directly playing the game. It only shows as a full-screen version.

A strategy guide such as the Prima version may be helping for the maps and the locations marked on them. It also marks general treasure locations and monster positions. And I only mention it because I own it and know the general content of it.

party

My parties in RPG are: pal, mage, and thief the rest very. I save game then walk any where and get hit first. at the low levels it knocks someone out and I don't have the power to win the fight. I want first hit. But I would settel in this game if I could kill the wraith without loss of constitution. For some reason my mage dosen't have MM at 2nd level.

The order of who goes first is determined by initiative. I'm not sure how you can really change that, but it should improve over higher levels.
These are potions and wands that can Restore drained statistics.
As for the Magic Missile, you need to select upon level up, though I would have expected that to be the first choice for any default sorcerer (if you used those). Then it's a case of your Charisma being high enough to cast the spell (though you should have 11 or higher which is sufficient) and resting so you have the maximum opportunities to cast the spell.
The wraith at the start is a tough foe, so you may want to avoid that combat and come back to it later. The eventual reward is very useful though.

*spoilers*

Come back after you recruit the sorcorer Jarial, and level up a bit. Then you have 2 mages casting magic missile at the wraith.
