Green cloud won't go away.

I have the NPC Emmeric in my party. A while ago he set off a trap which resulted in a green cloud forming over his head. I tried drinking neutralize poison and restoration potions but the cloud remains. All of Emmerics stats seem to be in order and he doesn't seem to be affected adversely by the cloud, but I'm not positive. Anybody know whats happening here and also is there a way that I can lose the cloud?

I seem to recall a similar problem myself. Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure how I got rid of it. I think it may be a curse. If you have a cleric or paladin try some of their spells and feats. I would imagine you have already tried resting. Maybe someone else can offer more help or you could do a search for removing curses. I know....thanks for nothing.

Yes. It was a curse. Unfortunately I did not have a Paladin or a Cleric in my party but I just came across some "thirsty ground" which offered to remove any curses, so I gave it a try and the cloud is gone. Thanks!!
