First level cleared?

I recently started RoMD, and I think I have cleared out the Main Halls. What I need to know is, is there anything I MUST have before I move on to other levels.(I found Deathbane). Wouldn't even ask but I took a look at the walkthrough, the levels are pretty big and I do not want to be far into another level and find out that I missed something. Thanks.

I don't remember anything that early in the game that was 100% necessary. I do recall that the design of the game is such that you will need to travel back and forth between levels no matter what.
