can't figure out how to get ammo for the sling and bows

I may just be being dense or something, but i just can't figure out where i'm suposed to get sling bullets and arrows from. that noddle guy isn't offering any. can i please get some help?

You fire normal arrows and bullets as long as you don't have anything in the quiver slot. There are also some better arrows in the game to be found later but no special bullets.
