Any suggestions on a good party build?

I see that this is a micro community here....but it couldn't hurt to see if anyone had any info. I am kinda lookin for a character build guide, kinda like in D2.

Any suggestions would be great.

@Blump, for me it works well a three fighters one cleric party in the beggining, then I dual one of the fighters to rogue at level two, and keep him true rogue. I usually join with a mage in the main halls, so I wont have problem with spellcasting, and when my cleric reaches level 2 spells I have a very hard to beat party. Healing skills, hold person, magic missile, turn undead, and hack and slash in a very good measure.

A hard - but honest - way to beat the game is to keep all characters true, and play it like this:

A Fighter - Tank
A Rogue - Sneak attacks and archer
A Mage - Magic missile!!!
A Cleric - buffs and Healings.

But it is really hard to play with. In the beggining you'll constantly lose your mage and your rogue - due to low hp's.

How's the party you're playing with?

I take a straight fighter, a straight cleric, a rogue until about 4th/5th level then fighter after that (and yes, I eat the 20% penalty) and another fighter. When I pick up Jarial I use him to primarily cast Haste (you'd be surprised how much more effective your other four are with it activated) and I pick up Emmerich. I've never had any problems finishing the game with that pack. The only other trade you might make would be using Jarial to swap out with the paladin that's trapped by the sword.

For my first run through I used a paladin, ranger (who added rogue a bit later after I got tired of opening chests by smashing them and losing the xp for the rogue by picking the lock and finding/removing traps), mage, and cleric. When I added Jariel the party was really deadly with 2 mages. Didn't have a single death. Casting invisibility on someone and having them do advance scouting (enabling you to better prepare) keeps most deadly encounters from overwhelming you especially in the early stages when the mages are most vulnerable. I used a couple of different NPC's for the sixth character but think I finished with Emmeric. The sixth character is more a matter of personal taste.
But I do recommend starting with 2 fighter types for sure because of the large number of encounters with multiple bad guys.
