wedding ring(spoiler)

The girl ghost in fortress of regrets was supposed to upgrade a ring she had given me, but she doesnt. Also I cant tell her anything about it since I dont have dialogue options for that. Doing anything wrong?

Are you sure you still have the wedding ring on you? If one of your party members had it when you entered the portal, you wouldn't have it in your possession any longer.

I checked, and possession of the ring is pretty much the only thing I can see that is required for the upgrade, which comes at the end of the conversation. Is there something very odd about your game? Did you not bring anyone to the Fortress with you, or something similarly unusual?
