1. I heard with Lothar there's no way to kill him without cheating, but you can use the call lightning command to do it, where do you get this from, what mod/patch?

2. How do you kill Splinter, the self-proclaimed demi-god (I thought the lady didn't allow demi-gods in Sigil) in the Sensate hall. I attacked him and he simply gave a speech and whisked us out of the Hall, as can Lothar and the Print shop owner.

3. The Grain Silo fiend who gives you the Heartgrinder. I would imagine you can kill him normally, by attacks and spells, but he certainly looks really mean and tough. The toughest creature I ever killed was a greater Gelugon.

4. Old Coppereyes in the Gathering dust bar?

Not really a person to kill, but I remember reading once back on Interplays forums that you can't read Grace's diary but you can write in it.

Permanent Ways to die

1. The lady of pain, the first time you cross she mazes you, the second time she shreds you and that's the end of you.

2. Lothar can kill you, not if you attack him, but if you demand Morte back. There is a specific sequence of answers that will get you killed. Though it never specifically says how it just say he utters some words and "Pain wracks your body" Well, that all well and good, but pain won't kill the NO, his body has to be totally destroyed (e.g. like the game manual says- burned to ashes)

3. If you replace the silent king as ruler of the dead nations.

4. Being turned to stone by the medusa prostitute in the Brothel.

5. Again, not really being killed, it's kind of strange, if you are "killed" anywhere in the fortress of regrets you get the message that "You have been incapacitated and can no longer complete the game."

6. If you cut your throat with the blade of the immortal in the fortress of regrets. You'll see the transcendant one also die. With a high enough wisdom you can threaten the transcendant one with it and make him merge with you.

Can't you use the blade of the immortal anywhere to commit suicide? I have a distinct feeling that I tried to use it straight after I got it and that ended the game, but it's been a while and I can be mistaken.

Do you know how you can write in her diary?

No, only in the Fortress. And only in that sequence.

Yes, you can only use it in the fortress, as Coaxmetal in the Siege Tower in the Lower Ward of Sigil says it only works in a place that is cut off from the planes.

Spoilers below

But, you can cut your throat with the blade in the fortress anytime, of course this is really useless and doesn't solve anything, other than the TTO dying too, which you'll see anyway if you defeat him in combat

No, this may just be a myth really, a false rumor, but I remember seeing a post on interplay's boards how you could, back when the game was still new.

The dead link is http://feedback.interplay.com/torment/index.html, for all the good that'll do, namingly none

Hmm, on second thought, maybe they have an archive on their forums somewhere
