Trapped in The Buried Village!

I'm on Lothar's quest to find a skull of great value. Since I took the portal to the underground and was close to the Buried Village, I decided to loot Pharod's remains by entering through the south door. I picked the lock and fought the guards. After getting Pharod's stuff I was about to leave the same way, but the door was closed again. No biggie, I though, but I couldn't get Annah to open the door. She just walked by it, but did nothing. Apparently it can only be opened from the other side. Then I tried the knock spell, but that didn't open it either. So now I decided to leave by going up to the Trash Warrens, but I didn't have any junk with me, so I couldn't enter the portal that's out there. And just a while ago I had some, I just left to a box, since I didn't think I'd need them anymore. How wrong was I... I don't even have an earlier save and couldn't find any junk in the village. There doesn't seem to be a cheat mode like in Baldur's Gate either. Is there any way to leave the place?

Yes. His crutch is the key. You need to have that to trigger the portal's appearance. It's somewhere in the back, to the left, if I recall correctly. In any case, as long as you have the crutch, you should be able to open it.
