Question about the book and about death

I have two questions

1. Have any of you ever read the Planescape book? Is it good?

2. Do you lose anything (Ability, resistance.... anything!) when you die in Planescape

If your character dies in PS:T, it loses nothing at all--not even inventory, when it shows up again at the nearest "safe zone."

As far as I the book..... well, I loved the game. So when I saw the book, I decided to buy it. I read the first six or seven pages before giving up in disgust.

A year later I decided I might have been too harsh in my judgment, perhaps unfairly judging the book against the game. So I decided to give it another shot.

That time I managed 12 pages before giving up in disgust.

The book is, sadly, one of the most awful things ever to be published. How an author could manage to so totally remove the appeal of such a fundamentally great story is beyond me, but this one managed it quite well.

Hmmm..... that's a pity. But hey, what could I expect from a book made AFTER the game. like the bg books.

But thank's. now I certainly won't purchase the book.
