Problem with character sounds...

Hey guys! I m encountering an annoying little problem with this otherwise amazing game...when i 'm entering into a new area the sounds(voices) of the characters start sounding very low -i can barely hear them- i have installed the patches (official and unofficial) ,i reinstalled the game but the problem persists .If anyone can help me with this i would be grateful!
