Is there anyway of avoiding having to permanently losing 15HP? Do you have to get the answers to two of their questions? Also I ditched Morte for Vhailor, was this a wise choice? Lastly, where do I get some level 5 spells in this game?

I'd never ditch Morte, simply because those curses of his are virtually a secret weapon. That said, I don't think there's an unwise choice among NPCs for your party. It's all up to you how you wish to play the game, and any party can make it through successfully.

Sure, there's a way to avoid losing hit points when speaking with the pillar: you can tell 'em where Fjhull is. They'll come for the guy, so you get to see exactly what you've done. Alternatively, you can give up the Modron cube.

Well, I had to ask how to get out of Baator and how to get to the fortress of Regrets, I couldn't find any way out of asking these 2 questsions. What in heck do you mean by giving up the Modron cube?

Man I'm really pissed about losing those 15 hps...are there any Torment savegame editors out there?

I mean that if you have the Modron cube on you, the Pillar should be willing to trade an answer in exchange for giving it to them. It's the cube that allows access to the area where you find Nordom. Personally, I prefer keeping it, since there are some nice wands and bolts, there, and you can always sell the excess to really boost your funds.

Why don't you want to lose 15 HPs? The fun in these games, for me, lies in the choices you make, and the way you make it to a successful conclusion despite any handicaps you've been given. I admit, I see little fun in removing the hazards.

If you have enough Charisma you can lie to them about Fhjil, and htey will accept the answer, he's in the outlands.

You get the Modron Cube from Virishka (weird creepy blue lady) in the upper ward and then talk to the Modrons in the Brothel of slating intellectual lusts and you then have to figure out the sequence. Hope that helps Also i wasn't clear in my last posts, when you lie to them about Fhujil tell them he is in the outlands and they will beleive you (depending on charisma)

Virishka has quite a few very useful, reasonably priced trinkets.

I didn't note down the sequence for activating the cube, but it's easy to arrive at by trial-and-error. You just move one of the arms or legs, and if it's the right one, you proceed to the next stage, with fewer arms and legs to move; if it's wrong, the whole thing resets.
