| | | My Planescape predicament.... Firstly, a big smile and friendly handshake to all my fellow tormented souls around here, seems a pretty informative place, so thought i'd " take the plunge " and register.
If you, my fellow comrade, could give me some advice it would be most welcome! My problem is this:
In an effort to finish the game before my university term starts (this coming monday) i've been hurtling through the game as fast as i could, even consulting a game guide at times (something which i never do) whenever i became stumped even for the briefest of periods......
(bear with me, i am going to pose a question!) I am currently about to enter Ravel's maze, though at the moment im deeply dissatisfied with my gaming experience. No fault of the game itself, which is incredible, but because i feel im doing an injustice to the developers (and to myself) by just skimming through it. I honestly feel as though im missing something....(tenacious link to the nameless one's dilemma)
If you've gotten this far congratulations, sorry its a bit long winded. I'll stop my incessant babble and just ask the questions. Should i .......
A) Start the game from scratch, and take my time through it, enjoying all that the planes have to offer, as there's nothing quite like it......
or B) Keep fiercely running through it, and once finished, then perhaps start again taking my time......
Thanks for any help, i really appreciate it, and sorry for this lengthy post! All the best my friends!
CP.

I recommend that you start from scratch... i don't know how much of the game you have missed, but personnaly i think the game should be enjoyed as much as possible. it's never the same completing a game a second time.
do you have a full party??
my post number 100!!!

| | | Thanks for taking the time to reply friend, I do have a full party, though my levels are pretty low ( Nameless one is a fighter hovering around level 10 i think, too lazy to check exactly!). I agree, the second time is never as enjoyable, though sometimes a better understanding can be gleaned from it.
How much of the game is left then, if im about to enter Ravel's maze? |

| | | There's quite a lot after Ravel's maze. I *think* Ravel's maze is just past the half mark of the game for me (I'm not sure though, I haven't played it for a while and just started a new game yesterday). But there's definately is quite a chunk of story after Ravel's maze. |

| | | This is defiantely NOT a game to be rushed through. You've got to sit down, read every bit of dialogue, and search every area. I was a bit hasty towards the end of the game and missed an area. It wasn't crucial but none-the-less I missed it. So start over and take your time. I never let school stop me from playing my favorite games. As a matter of fact I had just been handed a used copy of Baldur's Gate and Fallout weeks into my freshman year at college by some girl whose aunt gave her a bag full of games her son didn't play any more. Probably not the best thing that could've happened, but I don't think it hurt my grades any. |

| | | I second Skuld's remarks. Take your time, and post here any questions you have. PS:T is easily the deepest RPG that was ever made, in terms of the questions it raises. It shouldn't be rushed: this isn't Fable or ToEE.

| | | Thanks Fable, I started a new game tonight being alot more thorough and its definetly more rewarding. Im sure im going to have a multitude of questions once i've finished the game. It appears to me the kind of game you could really delve deep into with regards to its meaning. Thanks once again!
