I'd like to play a mage, but the NO can't be both a mage and a fighter at the same time. The only reason I'd want to be a thief is for backstabbing, and Annah can steal anything I want her to. Also, at what point can I get the answer out of her as to why she loves the NO? I'm thinking of using the option to sell her into slavery perhaps, as she has a bad attitude. Or, I may just just keep her around for her thieving abilities.

Plus, with crappy 2nd edition magic resistance rules you have no chance to break through it which is aided by the mage's level. 3E Magic (Spell) resistance is the best, 2nd is the worst and 1E is in-between.

How do they react when you sell them into slavery? I would imagine none of them go quietly (especially Vhailor and Annah) and a fight ensues. I've finished the game, but going through it again as I missed a lot of things

I'd advise against selling one of your team members into slavery. Even allowing for the fact that the NO is supposed to be a kindlier type in this incarnation, the rewards just aren't worth it. The same thing goes for...spoilers follow... killing a team member, which is your next, and last, task. You receive the Adder's Kiss spell for the former--a paltry level 2 thing, with piddling effect. For the latter, you get Power Word: Kill, but by the time you acquire it, most of the creatures you want to use it on have more 120 hit points. After which point it has no effect, whatsoever.

Well, I was thinking of selling Annah into slavery, but may not now. I want to have Vhailor and Nordom in my party, like I didn't have before when I finished the game. I may pass on Grace this time around as I can get blood and heart charms from stores. Though I still would like to have her I want to see how she interacts with Vhailor, and how Vhailor interacts with Dakkon.

I found a site with some of the character quotes but not all, if I could read it I'll just pass on Grace totally.

And Spoiler Question: I had to fight Ignus at the fortress of regrets when I finished the game the first time, this time I'll have to fight Vhailor if I have him in my party correct? I wouldn't imagine it'll be a problem as I have more attacks then him and a 21 strength.

You can't sell Annah into slavery, you don't own her. If you don't want to have certain characters as party members the only drawback of selling them is becoming more evil. Doing the last task has only the drawback of becoming more evil too, since there's an easy way to fix the outcome.

There's one other drawback: you lose that character from your party, forever. I know, pretty obvious, but in a game that offers few joinable NPCs, and each with a distinct set of abilities, losing two--one through slavery, the other by death--is relatively serious. At that point, there are none left to spare, assuming one wants to take around a full party without cheating.

It's easier to bring dead party members back to live than to bring injured ones back to full health.

As I recall, killing a party member meant they wouldn't rejoin you after being brought back by the NO. Can't say I blame them, of course. Has to be hell on the nerves.

Well, you don't own any party members do you? I've never had Nordom or Vhailor, I've had Grace, Annah, Dakkon, Morte and Ignus, I never remember any of them saying they were my slaves.

They don't say: "Hi master, I'm your slave" every 5 minutes, but it's like a master-slave relationship with at least two characters, you can find it out during the game if you care reading the dialogues.

Party members don't mind whether they are killed by TNO or enemies. Just use the special ability to bring them back and it will be as if they'd never died.

I did, once--went through the whole Book sequence, and brought back Annah, I think. She loathed the NO after that, and ran away.

I remember being able to kill and resurrect without trouble for the book. I guess it depends on the party member.

May also involve alignment and relationship. The NO was pretty tight with Annah in that game, as I recall.

I was able to seel Nordom, Dakkon and Morte into slavery, just to see what would happen. I also went there with Ignus, and the option doesn't even appear when you ask her if she wants a slave

Nordom will go easily
Dakkon objects but will go
Morte insults you but he'll go
Ignus Apparently you can't sell
Annah- attacks you, and if you attack her the store owner and standish will turn red.
Grace- don't know
Vhailor- don't know

Vrischika won't accept Grace as a slave.

There isn't an option to even offer Ignus or Vhailor, which is a shame. (Though I highly doubt either one would be willing to go anyway.)

I'll have to see if I can fix the issue of Vrischika and Standish defending Annah. Pretty sure that's not supposed to happen.
