Hardest moment in PS: T?

I think the hardest part of Planescape: Torment is where you try to free Jasilya from the Harmonium slavers (the first mission you get from Tainted Barse and Marquez in Curst). The Harmonium slavers are pretty tough on your own, but keeping them away from Jasilya and killing her? Well, I'll just say Morte's "litany of curses" skill got a workout. I wish I could have cast "shield" on her or something. It took a few times for me to get it.

What do you think is the hardest part of PS: T?

I never encountered much problem with that (I recall only once when I wasn't paying attention that they actually killed her).

Hardest part?...*possibly* those Crazy mages in Carceri - without Nordom, they just sit there pegging Ice knives at you (and if you kill them, they respawn as soon as you walk away - so spells are wasted). It's not really hard, just annoying...really really annoying.

Actually, that Fiend of Morridor's box is, in my opinion, the hardest part of the game. Killing it is much harder than anything else in the game. That thing killed Vhailor once(!!!) after my fighter took an absolute beating and had to run off and heal.

I once had some trouble with the guards at the entrance to the Trash Warrens. I think I wanted the main guard's axe, but TNO and Morte were just too low in level to handle them. TNO died and woke up in Martha's hut.

^ That Bish guy?

Ja, he's pretty nasty, I usually complete all quests in the Hive and get Dak'kon asap just because of that guy (Sometimes I think I can talk my way through, but I want that Enchanted Battle Axe)...he can indeed be nasty..especially since he returns to the trapdoor if you try to lure him away from his cronies.

That's the nice thing about the trash warrens -- if you die, it's not a setback, sending you back to the mortuary or anything. It's actually a shortcut! Of course, you don't get the experience of killing a bunch of thugs, and you don't find the portal which gets you the sadistic frame and the club of nettles, but you can get that later on your way out!

I'm dreading the crazy wizards in Curst-Carceri. I don't have Nordom with me. I left it in Sigil, because... well, it and Ignus seemed like the only one I *could* leave in good conscience and practicality. Morte's taunt is needed more than Nordom's bows. Dak'kon is needed to switch me around from mage to fighter and back. Annah... had a lot of plot to develop on the planes, and she's my thief, and she's my thief-trainer. Fall-from-Grace... well, she's pretty worthless practically, but really, I promised her that I'd show her around the planes to get her to join me in the first place. I'd feel like a bit of a cad just leaving her in Sigil when the only reason she joined was so that she could come with me if I ever got out of Sigil and into the outer planes. Oh, and I wanted to leave a spot open for Vhailor. I once brought my current party plus Nordom, and ended up having to talk Vhailor out of existence, after getting his +3 strength bonus (I was Lawful Good this time, Chaotic Good this time), because there was nothing else to do with him.

The thing about the Jasilya quest, for me is, well, if you die, no big deal. If your companions die, slightly bigger deal: you have to resurrect them, which you can only do three times a day. If Jasilya dies, there's no bringing her back -- and you can't give her any heart charms or anything either! (actually, I found that I *could* cast shield and armor on her, but still, no healing or commanding her to run away from the Harmonium slavers or anything like that). It's like one of those missions from Wing Commander where you had to protect some dumb, defensely freighter from a horde of Kilrathi.

The game was pretty easy itself, but I recall having problems near the pillar of skulls. There were a lot of demons walking around, and I had depleted my whole spell arsenal. -_-

Fighting Moridor (the demon from the box) is a tough fight in there, but I think fighting Larval Worms or Curst Guards (especially in groups) at low levels are tough as well.

Yeah, that was pretty tough.

The first time when i played as a fighter, i guess the hardest part of the game (although this is optional) is the Undersigil. Fighting the Larvae Worm etc was almost impossible the first time i entered the Clerk's Ward.

I think i didn't stop by to visit it again before entering the Fortress as i think it has nothing to offer...hehe, i missed some nice possible item

Most people seem to be assuming that the toughest challenges in the game involved combat. But what about the puzzles we had to unravel? The Player's Maze was more difficult for me than any of the battles. Figuring out how to reach Ravel was also pretty challenging, since I had to deal with so many issues in the Brothel of Slating Intellectual Lusts.

Yeah, I found that pretty hard as well, first time I played. Well... I found most of it pretty hard first time I played!
Subsequent games were MUCH easier.
