How tough is he? I plan on fighting him after he gives me the heartgrinder. And what kind of fiend is he?

He disappears after you free him. If I recall.

Yes, which is what I did last time I played through the game. This time after I get the heartgrinder (which I didn't get before) I will attack him if I have the option to do so.

He is a tanarii, and he will usually appear again a while later in Curst in Carceri. If you didn't kill the baatezu in the Curst Underground, both of them will appear in Curst in Carceri and they will be attacking each other. (Actually, I -think- neither will show up unless both are still alive).

They actually have dialogue meant for Curst in Carceri, but you can't ever see it because they're both hostile to you as well as each other from the moment you enter the area. Finding a way to make that dialogue accessible is one of the last few issues I can think of for my mods to deal with, not sure if it'll be in the Fixpack or as a UB component yet.
