Game Stopping Error!!! Please help!

I don't know if anyone else has had this particular problem, I know others have had game-crashing bugs, but does anyone know how to fix this particular one. It happens right after I try to leave Curst to go into Inner Curst. It saves the game and loads, and once it finishes loading it, the game crashes and this message appears:

An Assertion failed in D:\Torment\Source\baldur\ObjCreature.cpp at line number 11029

Any help would be appreciated. This stops me from continuing further into the game and I really want to finish it.

It's fine, i kinda fixed the problem. Im just skipping the inner curst and going straight to the underground. Even though im loathe to miss part of the game, this is the only viable option. So yeah thanks for people that at least looked at my problem.

Yeah, sounds like a bad data spot on the CD. One possible cure: set the record speed of your record CD/DVD drive to as low as possible, and use it to copy your PS:T disc that is causing the trouble. At such a slow read speed, it may transfer the information correctly.

Either that or buy the game again... Yes, it may be costy, but it's the only option if the hint Fable provided doesn't help. This is because if the cd is already partially corrupted, there is high chance that the whole cd comes corrupted sooner than later. I know as happened to me couple of times.
