Fortress of regrets - game crashes repeatedly

Hi folks,

I hope you can help me. I am in the Fortress of regrets, heading to the west, where those Shadow-guys hang around. After having killed about 8-10 of them, the game crashes, before I can reach the first set of stairs. When I run away without fighting the shadows I can go upstairs but after a little time with a tail of shadows behind me, the game crashes aswell.
I am totally frustrated and thinking of de-installing the game before getting through - a thing I only did a very few times!
So I would be glad if some people here would know what to do.

Best regards
Keltoi

I'm sorry to hear your game is crashing, just when you're so close to getting some answers you've been waiting for. Don't give up yet.

If you are encountering a common bug, it might be fixed with Platter's Fix Pack. If the problem is specific to your own installation, you might have a corrupt data file or a scratched or dirty CD. Try copying the maps from your CD into your data directory.

Waaahhhh!

Thanks a lot! I thought I had installed the fix-pack right after installing the 1.1-Patch. But I guess just downloading a Zip-file and afterwards forgetting about it won't do, right?
After installing the fix-Pack everything is going to be allright.

Best wishes
Keltoi
