dual class NO

Hey guys,
For the first time, I thought I'd play NO as a dual character i.e. Mage/Fighter but I can't figure out how. I started out as a low level fighter, changed to a mage. Now I'm a 7th level mage and want to train as a fighter as well (dual class) but the training options that come up when I ask for training are "I want to give being a mage and train as a fighter". Does anyone know how I can become a dual class???
Thanks!!

You can't. Your manual should be pretty clear on this. You have three choices--fighter, thief, and mage--and you can switch among 'em as you'd like, as long as you have two particular NPCs in your party. You can't be two classes at once. You can't multi.

You can't dual-class. The best you can do is, train a lot with one class, then change to another class. You still have all you had with the other classes(skills, etc.).

Actually, you can't use skills from your previous class if you switch to another class. For example, you can't backstab, pick locks, hide in shadows, etc. unless you're a Thief, and you can't cast spells unless you're a Mage. As far as I know, the only skills that carry over from one class to another are fighting skills. For example, if your THAC0, number of attacks, and proficiency points were higher when you were a Fighter than they would normally be in your current class, you still get the benefit of your previous training as a Fighter. This is helpful, for example, when you are a Mage and you're wielding a dagger that is useable by a Mage--you can still hit like a Fighter.

Sorry, it's been some time since I changed class. I mostly play with only one class in the game, if you play with two it's kinda powergaming. I think.
