Do you allow to be mazed by the Lady of Pain the first time?

Hi again,

Great game, what can I say, makes me ask you guys a lot of questions.

I know the second time she mazes you - you die.
So do you always get yourself mazed on purpose(deliberately) the first time, so you can take the items from the maze, for the sake of map-exploring and see the nice cinematic with the Lady of Pain?

1. Do you guys do it every time?
2. Will it affect the conversation with the Lady of Pain, and her attitude towards me near the end of the game?

I don't recall any changes in her behaviour based on (not) having been mazed. And yes I always let myself get mazed once. I feel like it's part of the story.
