| | | Crap Stupid Nordom! When I went to kill the Evil Wizard, I just clicked "ignore person" or something and fought him to quickly fight him because I had trouble beating him (kept dying. had to keep reloading. basically put in ignore person because it was fastest).
Now I can't ask Nordom about me being the Creative Director! I realize I'd have to go back and refight the wizard but I'm too far in the game to do that again! Anyway, is there some sort of hack/cheat that'll get me the Creative Director parts for Nordom? |

| | | Maybe its a problem with your charisma? You can only mention it to him if you have a high charisma, if I recall correctly.

| | When you say you can't ask Nordom, does that mean you can't talk anything to him at all ? my Char got Average Char pts. but he can talk Nordom into it. I think Int pts also the factor here

I think my stats are good. My wisdom is 19-20 I don't remember.
And yes, I can talk to Nordom. I just can't talk to him about the Creative Director because I didn't talk to the Evil Mage Construct about it, so I can't tell Nordom I was him. So I was wondering if there's a hack or cheat that'll get me those lines of speech available to say.... |

| | | You don't need to talk to the EMC about being Creative Director, or anything, for that matter. He's not the object of a quest. He merely exists. You can safely ignore him, if you wish.

| | | OK but how do I talk to Nordom about me previously being the creative director? I can't talk to him about it, and my int, wis and cha are all high enough for me to talk to him about it.... and since I didn't talk to the EMC about anything (he mentions the creative director and I believe it adds it into journal) I can't talk to Nordom about it...... |

| | | Okay, that's always possible; it's been a while since I played, last. So are you saying he's stuck, Platter?
@CB, have you tried seeing if the dungeon-controlling modrons will allow you to reset things? I think that may only be possible after becoming Creative Director, but it's worth a shot. The EMC will regenerate when you form a new advanced-level dungeon.

| Well, he already has become the new director otherwise he couldn't have found Nordom in the first place.
His problem is he is no longer in Sigil (I gather) and so can't get to the Maze right now so he can talk to the Wizard.

| | | OK so if I talk to the Modrons and reset the dungeon on HARD (can't I do it on easy???) the Evil Wizard will be back? I already killed him, but will be be there again if I reset?
Anyway I'm in Canceri Prison. But I have the Modron toy so I SHOULD be able to go whenever I want.... |

| | You can meet a "new" Evil Wizard that's just like the first one if you tell the Modron Engineer to reset the Rubikon. (The Evil Wizard only appears on the Hard level, I'm afraid.) If I'm not mistaken, you can repeat the whole dialogue tree with the Evil Wizard if you do that, and that should solve your problem.
HOWEVER, since you have left Sigil, you don't have access to the Rubikon until you return to Sigil. (I don't think the military picks that summon Modron Constructs will work, either.) The practical reason for that is because the Rubikon lets you "teleport" all over Sigil, and you're not supposed to do that now. I guess the roleplaying reason is because you're no longer in "the city of doors", so you can't travel to other planes as easily as you could before. You can use the Modron Cube and return to the Rubikon when you return to Sigil. Better late than never.
My memory is a little foggy, but perhaps I can clarify the issue about being the new Creative Director. Before you meet the Evil Wizard, the Modron Engineer is willing to let you act like the Creative Director since the last one is missing and the Modrons desperately need for someone to give them orders before they all become rogues. That's why he lets you order him to reset the dungeon. But I guess you can't fully become the new Creative Director unless you find out (from the Evil Wizard) what happened to the last Director. It seems to me that you also need to eliminate the threat of the Evil Wizard, who also has a chance to become the Modron's new leader if you don't stop him. That's part of the conversation, too.
The truth is, you can leave the Rubikon without ever talking to the Evil Wizard if you happen to find a Portal Gem (it can appear as a random treasure item--I've found several). For the meta-gamer (who knows things that a character inside the game couldn't possibly know), being able to upgrade Nordrom is a strong incentive to fight the Evil Wizard even if you don't have to. (Once you talk to him, a fight is inevitable, but you can still walk out of the battle, so even then, you don't have to defeat him.) I'd fight him anyway, just because I play an adventurer and he's an evil wizard. The Modrons don't get it, but what else do you need to know? Decisions, decisions.

| | | Oh I'm going to fight him again, of course. I beat him once, I can do it again even easier (I'm stronger).
Just one more question:
I'm in the outlands now (after the curst prison) but is it possible to return to Sigil anytime soon? I have the Portal Gem (but I haven't tried it yet) but is it possible to get back to Sigil so I can go back to Rubikon? I also want to get into the Player's Maze, see what's there, I haven't been there yet. |

| | | well, there aren't many areas to do as such, but they're very important areas and some major fighting is involved. it won't be easy, but it shouldn't take long if you can avoid getting stuck on a tough fight.
