Bug with Pharod/Annah?

Ok so every walkthrough I've read now says that after I give the bronze orb to Pharod, he should spawn Annah and she will join my party. My problem is that doesn't happen. He tells me Annah was the one who found my body, and when I say goodbye to him nothing happens. I also can't find Annah in the northeast Hive where she used to be. Anyone know how to fix this?

did you exhaust his dialogue trees?
memory serves giving him the sphere is not enough, you have to talk to him until mention of his body and where it showed up should cause annah to make an entrance, during the dialogue.
