Buffing Strength

I just noticed, and I don't know how long this has gone on, but when I cast Improve Stength, or Power of One, it is reducing my strength score! What is going on?!

What is your normal Strength?

Some of those spells adjust strength to 18 I think, regardless of whether you're below or above that number.

Nameless has 18 strength. Reduces to around 10 or 12.

strange. a possibility could be: do you have many items that boost strenght?

havent played PS:T in a while, but i think they use D&D rules for stacking. that means that only one bonus of each type can be active at a time. so if you have boosted strenght with an item, and then cast the spell, it may use the new bonus, which may be lower than your item bonus.

whats strange if it is so, is that it should always use the highest bonus.

That is strange indeed...as far as i remember, with 18 STR as a mage you wouldn't get any more bonus with Strength of One, but will get over 18 because of the 1d4+1 bonus in Improved Strength
