| | | In Nominae Gidday all,
Anyone here play In Nom? For those of you who don't know what the game is, it's basically Heaven & Hell with Earth stuck in the middle. The PCs are Angels or Demons (usually not at the same time in the same group) and it is done by Steve Jackson games. ( http://www.sjgames.com/in-nomine/)
I'm just wondering if anyone else is into the game?
Cheers,
TGHO

| | I've always wanted to play this one, but never had the chance. No one I play with plays it.

| | Cool concept.
If you like it, check out Constatine, a new Keanu Reeves movie. It's about the same idea.

| | Don't get me started on Canoe Reeves playing Constantine. <shudder> I'll not rant here.
As for In Nom, it's a brilliant game - I suggest you chaps check it out, if you get the chance!
Cheers,

| | | I really wish I had time to find an RP group. Maybe we should start an online session of IN Nomine!

| | | I've done that, and it mostly works. IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is the best format for it, or a chat room somewhere would work as well. The main problem is co-ordinating players, especially if they are scattered all over the world.
Cheers,

| | | I bet we could work out some system where it could work here.. Though I don't know the storyline of in nom very well.. Maybe something with a lot of intrigue would work better.. Vampire or something. We could all be vampires communicating plots from a distance..

| | Well it could also be done is a story mode.
Everyone devellops a character and controlls it in the story. Ther is a GM with the idea of a story and the rest plays it... sort of like actual rpg. The only difference is that there are no dice rolls and the point is more to write a story together then actuall playing.
Check out an example like Lost Souls.

| | | That's fun too, but I want something with the sense of conflict that dice rolls give... Maybe the gm could roll all of the dice.. It would be very slow going, but that would givea sense of suspense.. I don't know anything about the in nomine rules though... I dunno if it would work.

| | | Thanks for pointing that out, I find it to be very interesting, I'll have to look into ordering the books when I come into some cash. Never actually played a PnP rpg, just dumped a few hundred dollars into buying the old 2nd edition books for AD&D as research to making my own which never got accomplished...what a waste of money that way. This however, might be interesting enough to delve into. |

The game background is that you are an Angel or Demon, working for one of the Arch Angels or Demon Princes, and either trying to save humanity, or damn them. The side with the most souls at the end wins.
Obviously, a very cut down version of the backstory. There might be more info on the S J Games site.
Cheers,
TGHO
