| | | Your favorite male/female singer So who is your fav. singer?
My fav. male has got to be Layne Staley, the ex-leadsinger of Alice In Chains. He had such a powerful voice, not like the new singer of AIC. R.I.P. Layne.
My Fav. Female singer is Janis Joplin. She was made for the '60! But like Jimi,Kurt,Jim and so many more she died at 27. R.I.P. Janis.

| | My favourite male vocal is Eric Adams of Manowar. After that it would have to be David DeFeis of Virgin Steele.
Favorite female vocal... I don't really know. It all depends on how the vocalist from HolyHell performs on their debute album

| | Male, Freddie Mercury, hands down. Anyone who disgrees gets a virtual slap across the face. ^-^
Female, hmm... I LOVE Janis Joplin, too, but I'll have to go with Aretha Franklin on this one. |

| | I really like Chris Volz as the male vocalist of choice personally. He can go from actual singing, to the hardcore screaming, and actually has true musical talent and range. It is rare to have someone doing hardcore/rock type music nowadays that not only can do that, but does. Chris is better than Freddie!
As for female vocalists? My old roommate used to be an incredible singer. She sang Opera in front of a crowd before she was 10 years old. Smoking ruined that though. I think I'll have be biased and say Amy Lee from Evanescence, as she bears an incredible likeness in looks and voice to Cassie.

| | | My favourite male singer is Robert Plant. The power he could (and still can) put into his voice is incredible.
As for female, I'd say Teresa Salgueiro. She's the lead singer of a Portuguese fado/folk band named Madredeus. If you're open to any kind of music I really recommend you to buy one of their albums, I promise you'll be absolutely mesmerized.

I also really like Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys for female, but I wouldn't say they were my favourite.
I hope someone puts Burton Cummings from the Guess Who as male, 'cause he's really good too... |

| | | Male: Matthew Barlow. When he was in Iced Earth, he could hit notes that could honor the likes of Freddie Mercury, Rob Halford, and any other famous vocalists, be it tenors, barritones (or deep growly singers), or your high-pitched scream-singers (like Halford).
Female: Hmmm.... tough one. Can't say for sure, honestly.

Female- I've always loved Doro Pesch from Warlock.

Female: Hmmm.... tough one. Can't say for sure, honestly. | What about Tim "Ripper" Owens for both Iced Earth and Judas Priest?
I think Barlow is a better vocalist on the Something wicked... album, but on the Glorious Burden Owens is very good.

| | | Amy Lee from Evanescence would be my favourite female singer.
David Draiman from Disturbed is my favourite male singer, he's got a unique voice and he's great at doing the whole yelling/singing thing. But his yelling/singing sounds different from the masses.
Of course, I'm more from the 2000's as far as musical taste so.....

| | | Grace Slick's contralto voice from Jefferson Airplane
Neil Young's tenor from the Harvest album.
I tend to listen to mostly female artists and prefer deep voiced female and high voiced male singers.
One of my favorite songs, and very appropriate for Halloween. Shivaree's "Goodnight Moon" It plays during the ending credits of Kill Bill vol 2. |

Female: Christina Aguilera. Because she's hot, and I'm shallow.
