This is part of what was apparently a BBC radio comedy about 6-7 years ago, with an unusual premise: a rather cockney-sounding Satan who with his assistants tries to make things as terrible as possible for the living and the damned. It's actually got a lot of sharp-edged comedy, with some clear ancestry reaching back to Spike Milligan.

Pretty damn funny stuff, too. I think my favorite part is the bit about all the popes in their own area of hell where they're eternally 8 1/2 months pregnant. Except for two who are permanently in labor. With a breech birth.
