Everyone who knows about the coortana letters must surely realise that these wern't just posted as a gag from bungie. I have just given them a read through and think I have found a meaning in some of them. I know i might not have found anything but...
Letter 1) "I was there at the angel of the tomb": I belive that this is Coortana and the master chief in a climax in Halo 3: Think about it. Guess which side of it I am on": Well I am theorising that Bungie has planned the fall of coortana but not to the covenant or the flood. Her 7 years are up or the gravemind is corruptng her ad she is bent on destroying all.
"the Giants who formed this world": The forunners I am assuming where in on our solar system or lived on Earth and considered it to be of vital importance to place wat I belive is the grail in the Halo 3 trailer.

The manipulation must be able to work both ways."I am still not sure what he ever saw in you": Either I believe the person doing the seeing was either the chief refering to the arbiter, or the gravemind refering to the chief and the Arbiter
