Nope, Square can't take claim for any BoF except the first. Basically, the BoF series was about a clan of people with the power to turn into dragons. In each story, your basically the last of the kind, and you start by exploring the world. Eventually, something so drastic happens in the land that requires the main char. to take up arms againest it, and kick some serious ass as a dragon. BoF 2 was always my favorite.

The only FF I ever liked (i don't like console games) was the very first (or was it?) for the NES.
I'm not sure if it was the first, but i remember you had to get four orbs: WAter Earth Air and Fire if i remember correctly.
Anyway, I can still hear that little 10 sec music that would play over and over... hmmm good old memories

Talking

Back to the main-topic, my favorite RPG's are the ones that influenced me most. Which are only a few to name:
3) Ultima Underworld 1+2 (the first was better)
2) A text-based mud which I use to play since 5 years with several breaks, which lasted a few month up to one year.
1) Planescape Torment

In PS-T there is a villain who let's you through the gate to explore the dungeons below the area, but on your return he locks the gate and demands 20 coins of gold in payment to let you get back in. You hold the purse in the air and tell him to reach for it, and then grab his hand quickly, showing him that you are gonna break it, if he doesn't let you pass.
That makes PS-T the best game of all time ever for me, which makes you not only to have to swing weapons, to win battles.

Chris
