I liked Fallout 1 and 2. Very different from BG1 and 2, but a lot of flexibility with your characters. The sad thing is that Fallout 3 looks like it will be a first person shooter or similar. |

I haven't been following the news on Fallout 3 - but if that is the case, I'll be very reluctant to get it - then I'll rather replay F1+F2 again. |

Favorite RPGs... tough decision--there have been so many.
Currently:
1. D&D 3rd Edition - a very nice release; great rules update, imo.
2. Baldur's Gate series ( I and II ); saved the PC RPG genre from complete extinction.
3. GURPS - 'Reign of Steel' campaign setting. Always fun to play the Terminator. http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/wink.gif |

1- Paranoia (it's not just a game it's a way of life!)
2-Harnmaster (anybody know that one?)
3-call of cthulhu (any game where going insane is the norm is ok in my book http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Oldie but goodie:Eye of the Beholder trilogy.Good AD&D but too many puzzles.Eye 2 is the best in my opinion.Amazing what they did in just a 2 MB game.
Next comes Raveloft series(+Menzoberranzan). Decent games but poor graphics.I liked the Egyptian-style scenery in Stone Prophet,but Strahd's Possesion was better overall.
From recent games Planescape:Torment was excellent.Great story,graphics,unique scenery and hero.A must have,in my opinion.
From non AD&D games,I choose Betrayal at Krondor.Great RPG.Huge world,interesting plot,good gameplay but very poor graphics.

As for CRPGs most of my favourites are already listed (BG1/2 ,IWD ,Torment ,Might&Magic ,Eye of the Beholder, Ultima Underworld, Wizardry just to name a few).
As for P&P-RPGs:
AD&D (2nd, 3rd is sold out here), ShadowRun, Cyberpunk, Das schwarze Auge and BattleTech (P&P and tabletop) |

Damn! I forgot about Might and Magic. Altho 8 was a little dissapointing.
