| Well I only know of few games that let you CHOOSE to be a Vamp. Legacy of Kain: Defiance you shift between 2 main chracters; a vampire character and a specter character. But uhh Diablo 2 has some nice character classes to choose from. You can be a sorceress or a necromancer or a Barbarian ect. No vamps in that game though, other then the random monsters that you fight.

Starcraft is a futuristic real-time-strategy game. Same makers as the Warcraft series. They've made an expansion to this game.
Star craft is coming out with the second installment of the series called Star Craft: Ghost. This won't be a real-time-strategy though. It will be you playing the role of one soldier sort of the same way as in Halo who has the ability to cloak and uncloak.
edit again- sorry I thought you said sci-fi RTS, not RPG?
